Sara turns 6 months old on Saturday… I ask you, how did that happen? Six months? They have flown by, and she has turned into an even more engaging, cute and amazing human being.

Since her last checkup (at 4 months old), Sara has gained 2 lb. 2 oz., grown 2.25 inches in length, and added 3/4 inch in head circumference. She’s still petite but has definitely filled out (and outgrown many, many clothes already!) Soon, we will be graduating her to a new carseat, since her height is getting very near the height limit of the carseat; and it’s just a matter of time before she outgrows her portable and stand-alone swings (we will rue the day… those things are a savior for giving Mom a chance to shower or bathe, etc.)

She is resting soundly right now with baby Tylenol doses every 4 hours to hopefully avoid her 103 degree fever from her 4-month shots. So far, so good. Without further ado:

6 Month Stats

• Weight: 14 lb. (25%)
• Height: 25 1/4 in. (Unknown %; more than 25%)
• Head Circumference: 16 1/4 in.

Sara sits up for (very) short periods unassisted, finally enjoys “tummy time”, loves watching and petting cats, is eating her solid foods well (bananas are still the hands-down favorite! She’s now had sweet potatoes, carrots, avocados, peas, peaches, pears, and bananas. She’s breastfeeding like a champ, as always, and takes at least one bottle a day usually (to keep her interested in them, so Momma doesn’t always have to been around for mealtime!). She occasionally gets some formula — 4 or 8 oz. a week, total. What can I say, she’s an awesome baby and makes this all very, very easy… there’s not a day I am not aware of and so thankful for that.

• Length: 19 1/4 in.
• Head Circumference: 13 1/4 in.

Birth (37.5 Weeks) Stats
