Thanks, Rich... I had a funny feeling I was coming up with the wrong name, but the neurons just weren't firing. Guess I was wearin' my sign for a moment.

Jenna -- Howdy, fellow San Antonian hybrid driver! There are a few of us out there, though most seem to drive the Prius or Civic Hybrid (great cars, just not what I needed.) What color's your '05 FEH? Mine's the "redfire pearl" with color-matched bumpers. Do you have a favorite local shop for tire repairs, rotations, etc?

Bill Engvall ... when he does the "Here's your sign" bit:

Gas station attendant asks - Tire go flat?
Bill E - Nope, I was drivin' along and the other three just swelled right up!

It's something about the magnetic field surrounding the High Voltage battery I think, that attracts nails (just kidding!), but honestly I've gotten quite a few punctures in my 2005 Escape Hybrid also. In my case it's definitely not from riding in the "slow" lane, so I blame it on all the infernal construction around here. After 60,000 miles I finally broke down and bought a new set of Michelin tires, and (so far) I've been lucky.
BTW, as you mentioned in a previous entry, the San Antonio weather is absolutely fabulous these past days!
