Geek Habitat

Okay, apparently I am the only person in the known Universe that has yet to read any of the Harry Potter books. Oh, sure, I’ve seen all the movies… and I even own the first four books (must do something about completing the set.) I just haven’t picked them up and read them. This is both profoundly embarrassing and sad because I was once a voracious reader; after college, I just kind of stopped reading fiction. I’ve read the occasional autobiography or non-fiction, and a goodly number of programming and related “techie” tomes, but fiction just doesn’t seem to stick even when I manage to make the concerted effort to, you know, BUY the darned BOOKS!

Must do something about this in 2008…

Oh, you can’t spoil the H.P. series for me by telling me how it ends. I’d managed to get by pretty  well without being tainted, but this article, about J.K. Rowling snuck up on me with spoilers today. C’est la vie.
