In case you need a reason, it’s gems like this.
OK, perhaps it’s only chuckle-worthy if you’re a grammar geek^*?

*I probably qualify even though I break rules, and not in any artful way that could be attributed to a personal style. Online communication has caused me to pick up some pretty bad habits:

1. ellipses–and even hyphens–everywhere… for no… damned good… reason…
2. (Oh, and parenthetical notes, just because I write like I think. If there was a way, I would nest parenthetical comments, that’s how much I abuse them.)
3. Smileys and other emoticons, “Hehe” to connote laughter and some of the annoying (even to myself) online acronyms, like “LOL” just to bug people.
4. I’m certain there are more abuses I’ve committed to the English language, including some that are probably in this entry. C’est la vie (I wonder if that should be italicized?) Ugh…
