NIMBY(D) - Not In My Base, You Don’t
U.S. military bans Google’s Street View from within all U.S. bases after the on-base streets of Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, were recently mapped and posted online. (Only perimeter street views from public streets are online, as of this writing, and Google has no plans to remove those–nor should they.)
I have no idea how long they’ve been mapping San Antonio, Texas, because I only recently posted about discovering we had Street View availability here. By the way, Google, Prue Rd. between Fredericksburg Rd. and Babcock Rd. in San Antonio is now reopened…time to send your little VWbot out to map the reopened stretch of roadway. {grin}
