Virtual ‘Fam Needs Positive Thoughts

I do this occasionally so this shouldn’t come as any surprise. I’ve been a long-time reader of Eka’s (Erika’s) blog since even long before Samson (Sammy) was born in late February 2006; she, Sammy and Jay are my “virtual family” insofar as my family and close friends know them through my conversations. Anyway, Sammy’s heart surgery begins at 7:30 AM Eastern Time on Wednesday so please send your good thoughts, positive energies, prayers and such their way. Sammy, his mom Erika and his dad Jay could all use the extra support these next days and weeks.

If you don’t know Sammy, Eka and Jay as “virtual family” like I and many others do, here’s your chance to “adopt” them at a perfect time ->

* Eka’s Flickr.com account, always a good source of Sammy smiling and exploring the world -> http://flickr.com/photos/erikarenee/

* Eka’s blog (much better reading than GeekHabitat.com ever is, but SHHHHH, don’t tell anyone! ;-) -> http://wonderbliss.com/

* Sammy’s HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome; a congenital heart defect) blog -> http://www.babysamson.com/

* Eka’s Twitter.com account -> http://twitter.com/erikarenee

And once again for good measure –

    Thanks so much. :-) :-) :-) And we feel the same, even if I can’t follow your twitter because you are INSANE. :-)

    Hehehe! I *am* a tweeting fool, sometimes.

    Speaking of tweets — http://twitter.com/erikarenee — CONGRATS, Momma! Your li’l man is off bypass and out of surgery. I loved the “He’s a Fontan, baby!” Know there’s much healing and steps to take for awhile, but also wish you all slightly more restful sleep now that you’re on the other side of that brick wall, or at least kneeling together at the top of it ready to jump into the green grass on the other side! :D
