Behind on So Many Things

I am not complaining, since the reason I am behind is a beautiful, energetic, healthy almost 15-month-old (she’ll be 15 months on June 15th.) This is yet another placeholder post since I don’t have the time or energy to formulate a proper entry –

Sara’s 15-month pediatrician appointment was last Thursday, and it went well as usual. She’s still tracking as she always has, which is to say perfectly well, at 90% for height and roughly 15% for weight. Long and lean. I’ll have to dig up the previous stats for comparison over time, but here’s her latest stats:
* Height: 31.5 in.
* Weight: 21 lb. 6 oz.
* Head Circumference: 18 in.

She now has recall memory of what happens at the doctor’s office, so went spent much of the pediatrician visit with her crying or throwing a tantrum, but she did fine. Our pediatrician rocks, and says “they all hate me at this age. She’ll think I’m cool by 2 and a half or 3.” ;) We are blessed that she, still, has never been ill. Knock on wood. It’s going to be traumatic for all of us the first time she’s actually sick! In the past six months or so, it seems I’ve been sick a couple times a month, so I seem to be absorbing all the bad juju out of the air before it can get to her.

Oh, by the way, she cut her first molar last week!

I’m absurdly behind on web development and content development. We’ll just leave it at that since the many and sundry things I need to do would take up their own post.

Gas prices suck. I have a lot to say about hybrids, fuel economy, doing more with less, etc. but I almost thing that needs to be spun off to a new blog… yeah, like I have time for another blog… Sara has two domain names that I’ve still done nothing with. Anyway, for now I’ve been content to help answer questions people pose about hybrids in general, or the Ford Escape Hybrid in particular, and direct folks tweeting about “I need a hybrid,” to GreenHybrid.com, my favorite hybrid-related site.

Many of the news links I share with Justin and family are related to gas prices or related rising costs. Here’s two links I shared today; hopefully, at some point, I can revisit them and add my commentary –
1. Gasoline spending as a percentage of family income, graph by NY Times
2. Drawing the Line on Gas
3. Rethinking the cost of a hybrid vehicle

So long for now!
