Researching Arthroscopy
I can’t see to make it stop. Anytime I’m near the computer right now, I mindlessly gravitate to medical sites and medical-related news (some of which is more than a little unsettling!)
Justin had to lovingly order me to stop surfing on my laptop when I interrupted the movie we were watching (”Troy”) this evening to show him these arthroscopy photos. I wish I hadn’t looked at them — for some reason, I imagined the instruments required smaller incisions/holes.
But I’m still getting ahead of myself. Despite the complete ACL tear and meniscus tear, I can’t assume I know what my treatment will entail. Further, my imagination is too vivid to make all this “research” useful in any way except creating needless anxiety. Anxiety that seems to increase pain, I’ve discovered.
Argh. I wish the appointment were first thing in the morning so I could just get it over with and replace my imagings with some solid facts and information.
