Day 1: Back at Home
I was released from the hospital at 9 AM today, February 5, 2005.
I have a lot to note and share, but I wanted to at least duck my head in and say the surgery is complete and I’m now in the recovery and rehabilitation phase (I hate the extender box! It’s a pain!) I was actually prescribed, and currently using, a CPM device and Polar Care Therapy Kit (”cryo cuff”); nevermind what I wrote in my earlier CPM-related entry!
Despite all my pre-planning, I did have one surprise adjustment to make when I returned home: Justin had to take the door off our downstairs restroom (guest bath) because it’s too small for me to navigate on crutches in an immobilizer. I really don’t feel comfortable in spaces less than about twice my shoulder width right now.
