STS-125 Last Mission to Hubble

I’ll have to add more to this post when my head’s not throbbing and threatening to explode (somehow it’s easier to tweet than blog… 140 characters is liberating, I guess… moreso than a blank text box in WordPress.) In the meantime, I’ve harvested from my Twitter stream the relevant links I wanted to share.

Anyhow, if you missed this afternoon’s launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis for its 11 day mission to significantly upgrade the Hubble Space Telescope, check out NASA’s HD replay of the launch on YouTube.

To learn more about the mission, here are a few good articles to read:

* About this upcoming Shuttle mission — if this doesn’t grab you, nothing will -> http://bit.ly/5WYa4

* Crash course on STS-125 which launches tomorrow afternoon to do major work (for last time) on Hubble -> http://tr.im/l0sw

* Always a good source for Shuttle mission info -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wik… (ever-evolving; there are wiki spacegeeks)

If you’re on Twitter and even remotely interested in the U.S. space program, you need to follow all of these Twitter.com accounts -> @NASA @KSC_Updates @HubblePAO @Astro_Mike @NASA_Ares @EarthVitalSigns @MarsScienceLab @NASAJPL @NASADryden @NASA_Langley @NASAGoddard
