NASA STS-129 Launch Tweetup: Day #1 Official Videos

I still can’t believe I had the privilege (and good fortune) to attend the NASA STS-129 Launch Tweetup, NASA’s 5th official tweetup and my first-ever tweetup of any kind to attend. The memory, emotions and sensations of witnessing a Space Shuttle launch in person will be with me FOREVER, as will the friendships and acquaintances I formed over the course of the week I spent in Florida among my fellow SpaceTweeps.

Below you will find the official NASA videos of the first day presentations during the STS-129 NASA Tweetup (#nasatweetup on Twitter) held at Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex, Cape Canaveral, Florida, November 15 & 16, 2009. Yours truly is in a light green Space Tweep Society polo shirt and a black baseball cap with NASA pins all over the front of it.

  1. Part 1
I just rewatched Part 1– LOL. I’m such a dork. I wanted to answer ALL the questions. Only got to answer the STS one and the Jeffrey Williams one, though I forgot that Jeff is now Commander (CDR) onboard the ISS–that’s a recent handover from Frank De Winne (1st European Space Agency CDR of ISS).
  2. Part 2
  3. Part 3 (Final)

Too bad I didn’t still “know my stuff” on launch day when they asked us to name the crew of STS-129 (how incredibly *WRONG* is it that none of us did right off the tip of our tongues? I *always* grouse about that and here I was totally blanking.) My mind drew a complete blank and thus I missed out on winning my own bit of JPL’s aerogel… *cries* Fair is fair. The rest were given away by random drawing.
