Day 59: PT-Less Monday
It felt really strange not attending PT today. After 8 weeks of Monday, Wednesday, Friday PT sessions, I felt like a kid skipping class for much of the day. I directed that nervous energy to a little more gardening — I picked up 4 red-tipped photinia bushes for our front yard and planted 3 of them already. I also walked 5.34 miles today without my hinged brace! 3.15 miles of the walking was solo, with the remainder shared with Justin after he came home from work. The left leg and knee feel absolutely terrific; I have no complaints, and I felt my left leg’s hamstrings “burn” a bit which I attribute to them finally getting worked now that the brace isn’t there to “baby” them.
I plan to work out at the PT clinic on Wednesday and Friday morning, followed by 3-5 mile walks each day.
I still need to update Saturday’s entry to include aerial photographs and further details, but it may have to wait until Wednesday. I have a dental appointment (cavity!) tomorrow morning and then I have a lot of work to do for our business. This and several more of my websites were hacked on Sunday, so I also have some careful examination of things to ensure that doesn’t recur — 10 years running websites and 5 years running a hobbiest computer Bulletin Board System (BBS), and this was my first experience getting hacked. Once is enough.
Tomorrow, I’ll also be resuming my indoor rowing machine workouts which I had curtailed after the neck and back pain hit me a couple weeks ago.
Here’s hoping this entry finds everyone happy and healthy/healing! I’ll post a note when I’ve caught up with Saturday’s aerial photography and post-PT and OS checkup entry…
