Day 62: Taking it Easy
I’m doing alright today. The left (post-op) knee and hamstrings are reporting in with more pain than I’d like, but nothing seems to be too badly insulted by the fun yesterday evening. I did go to the store earlier and pick up some Osteo Bi-Flex glucosamine chondroitin complex — 107 coated tablets (53 daily doses). I figured after the tweaking the knee endured yesterday, and the location of my pain correlating with my medial meniscus and my primary incision (over the shin), it couldn’t hurt to supply the cartilage with some supplements. We’ll see if I notice any improvements or changes in 3 weeks time, which is apparently how long it’ll take before I might notice any affect.
It’s another beautiful day here and I’ve got the windows open, my allergies be damned! You know there’s a lot of pollen in the air when walking under an oak tree resembles a snowfall as all the pollen strands flutter down in the breeze! Everyone’s vehicles have a pasty yellow residue on them if they’ve been parked outside for any length of time; cars that have been outside for more than a day now all share the same paint color — mustard yellow frost.
It may be time for me to resurrect my hospital’s gripper soled socks, because my right foot skidded on the kitchen floor again this morning in the same place I nearly wiped out yesterday.
It’s not like I’m racing around the house, but you wouldn’t know it watching me go skidding around the linoleum!
Anyway, back to work… it’s difficult to be as productive in springtime, knowing that the dog days of summer will be here all-too-soon!
