Vicarious Living

I dropped Justin off at SAT (San Antonio International Airport) around 4:30 AM. After the sun finally came up, I ran some errands and walked 1 mile. My hamstring’s still a little iffy, such that I’d already opted out of attending my (optional) PT session today. A mile seems piddly after the mileage I’ve been averaging, but it’s better than nothing!

Justin is now safely ensconced with the General Aviation News crew in Lakeland, Florida. He called during every leg of his trip — Houston Hobby Int’l layover; Tampa Airport arrival (after a scheduled, but unexpected, stop in New Orleans, LA); and this evening from the rental home he’ll be sacking out in for the next 6 days. By all accounts, the Sun ‘n Fun fly-in is awesome — daily airshows from 2 PM to 5 PM, plus the equivalent of an aviation convention & expo held daily! I’m resisting any temptation to peruse too much of the show schedule. I’d rather hear it from him. During this evening’s call, he sounded tired but excited about the week ahead. I am extremely proud of him, and I know he’ll do a terrific job capturing the event in photographs and writing!
