Day 86: Placeholder
My brain is full, so this entry is serving as alternate storage for the minutiae I’d otherwise forget. If this were a real entry, it’d actually make sense when read (one hopes, anyway!)
* Didn’t go to the PT clinic at all this week. If almost attending counts, I almost headed over there twice, but I got side-tracked both times. I think I’ve definitely graduated to needing a private gym membership. I do need to deliver several complimentary fine art prints to my terrific PTs as “Thanks!” for their hard work and support.
* Walked three days this week, averaging about 2.5 miles each walk. During my walk yesterday (Saturday), I realized my walking pace is now around 4 miles per hour! And it feels good — a few twinges here and there, including in the ankle of my non-affected leg, but nothing major.
* Saturday and Sunday, I spent a total of 6 hours assembling a three tier, 18-unit purple martin house for our backyard. It’s a thing of beauty. Now I just need to dig a hole, mix some concrete (whole ‘nother story to that — the 80lb. bag nearly won the wrestling match with this 138lb. geek gal!) and plant the telescoping 15-foot pole the house will be mounted on.
* Justin was out of town for 2 days on business, and is now back. This is becoming disturbingly routine! We both agree the next time he gets on a commercial aircraft, I need to be along with him.
* Need to post photos of my front yard garden now that it may actually deserve the title of “garden”. Prior to this year, the “garden” really just consisted of potted plants (coleus) on our front porch, and some evergreen bushes and cold-hearty natives (salvia) around our oak trees.
* Need to post photos from my wildflower photo “excursion” a couple week’s back.
* Have a lot of stuff to catch up on. Where have the first 4 months of this year gone!?
* Need to schedule another dental appointment. The dentist keeps doing these quick fix fillings on one tooth I’ve had trouble with for the past 2 years. Well, it’s time he took some x-rays and actually fixed the root cause, which in this case must be the root. Hello, root canal. But I’ll take that over a shooting pain everytime I chew on that side (even sugarless chewing gum hurts!)
