End of Geekdom? Hardly!
CNN says, “The end of the “Star Wars” movies leaves a gaping hole in the galaxy of geekdom.” Hardly. Few geeks I know have managed to purchase every season of all their favorite sci-fi television shows on DVD, yet. With several times a week viewings of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 episodes a newfound staple in our own household, I can attest there’s still plenty of Force and first contact in the galaxy for the intrepid geek to experience. We’ve currently watched every episode up through the beginning of Season 4; the second episode, “The Visitor,” is stellar! It ranks right up there with my other favorite, “Duet” from Season 1!
If you won’t take my word for it, just read the {contains spoilers!} reviews for DS9 on Amazon!
Anyway, an end to geekdom? Hardly. Even when all the good sci-fi goes into reruns, there’s always geek tech and geek toys at ThinkGeek.com.
For music geeks, it appears that AudioScrobbler is accepting profile updates once again. We’ll see how long it lasts this time.
My AudioScrobbler profile is, predictably, GeekGal.
