I got my first MTB last July and didn't stop until I had my ACL procedure in April.
BTW, tore my ACL MTBing.
A little advice.
If you start to endo (get thrown over the handlebars),
just go with it.
Don't use your leg to try to stop yourself.

Other than that its perfectly safe. :)

I'll be watchin for posts from you on MTBR.
