Shuttle Damaged
I haven’t caught much of the news, but apparently storms in Florida caused a “window cover” to fly off the Space Shuttle Discovery today, causing tile damage to the Shuttle orbiter. Since the launch is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, and flying debris caused tile damage that led to the catastrophic loss of Space Shuttle Columbia during re-entry, I’m highly doubtful we will be hearing the words, “Discovery, you are go for launch,” tomorrow. And you know what, that is precisely the right decision.
