Secret of Life
I believe I have stumbled upon the secret of life. It’s not an entirely useful secret, and in fact I’m pretty sure your life would be better if you didn’t knowingly grasp this wisdom.
Information wants to be free, however, so I’m compelled to share the secret and let you deal with it as you will. Ready? Here goes…
For every healthy activity you engage in, there will be an equal and opposing, “unhealthy” activity.
Not buying it? Let’s try an example…
Healthy: Shannon and Justin take up bicycling (road and mountain) and start riding with friends. Shannon and Justin are happy and enjoying good, healthy exercise and fresh air.
Opposing Force: Justin learns that friends are totally addicted to World of Warcraft (WoW). Shannon nods knowingly; one of her online friends is a long-time WoW addict (eg. has been through at least one cold turkey and relapse cycle). The next day, Shannon notes Justin purchased a copy of WoW on the drive home. And so begins his addiction. Which of course, means Shannon’s addiction is quite likely not far behind.
This is the way life works… kind of like a rubber band. Stretch it out all you want, but eventually it will revert back to its normal shape.

Fresh air… what’s that? I have a vague memory of the stuff…
My paladin, however, just got to level 48! Woohoo!
