Feeling More Human
I’m feeling a bit more human today, with a lingering sinus headache and the usual allergy sufferer’s inability to taste or smell anything.
When I have dragged myself out of bed and to the computer, I’ve been geeking out over the NASA TV stuff. This morning, I took the time to figure out how to screen capture from Windows Media 9 (turn off video acceleration in WM9, then screencap as normal), and wanted to share two images.
The top image was taken from the International Space Station (ISS) as it passed over the Baja Peninsula. The lower image was taken several minutes later, and shows a graphical representation of the Space Station and the currently docked Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-114) as they passed over Texas and the Central United States.
For fun, here’s a list of the Shuttle Discovery crew wake-up calls. NASA’s been giving wake-up calls to astronauts for decades.
