It’s a Wiki, Wiki World {Time Magazine, June 6, 2005}
Sorry, I have nothing more to write. Maybe after my respiratory system stops over-reacting to chenopods and elm pollen.
What the hell are chenopods, anyway?
Wikipedia still needs a chenopods entry, so it’s Dictionary.com to the rescue: Spinach and beets are related to pigweed, and all three are chenopods? So why am I allergic to pigweed, but not to spinach or beets? I guess I should feel fortunate that I don’t break out in hives or sneeze every 2 minutes when I’m near a salad bar, eh?

chenopod : any plant of the chenopodium genus or chenopodiaceae (goosefoot) family. For example: beet, spinach, beets for livestock, and many plants found particularly in saline, alkaline or desert. source: a college dictionary ( not internet) Some people are allergic during ragweed season to these plants.l
