Quickie Recap

I stayed up too late, and enjoyed sleeping in too much, so we cancelled Saturday morning’s bike ride… again. My fault. At least it wasn’t because my knee was sore or in any other way not up to par. My post-op knee is finally back to feeling as identical to my non-operated knee as it possibly can — in other words, no pain or sore muscles, unless I’m doing something like crawling around on the floor (playing with our cats — get your mind out of the gutter!) which puts too much weight on the bones-with-screws that comprise my post-op knee.

I didn’t reprise my role as an efficient house cleaning machine on Saturday, instead opting to edit photos I took at Mom & Dad’s house of Dad’s brand new “Torch Red” 2005 Mustang GT. (Her name’s “Sophia”.) I’ll link a couple of the desktop wallpapers I created to this entry; I’m too lazy at 2:30+ AM to resize all of my favorites down to web-friendly sizes. I still need to get some shots in better lighting and a few true profile shots from the side, but it was fun shooting a gorgeous new muscle car! P.S.: you may download these images (with some limitations).

I’ve been making up for a lot of time off World of Warcraft by levelling up my character to nearly Level 31. I’ve found I prefer soloing most of the time, which obviously as a priest character makes it a little more challenging/slower going. I just haven’t fully warmed up to the role of a healer in the game… the more poorly organized a group is, the worse the job of being the healer is. I want to start another, alternate character — maybe a rogue — for when I truly get fed up of all the “Can you remove disease, please?” “Stamina buff, plz?” requests… half the time, from people I’m not even grouped with. Oh, btw, playing at 2 AM? Kind of scary… like being locked in a high school after hours with a strange cross-section of the faculty and student body. Or, for folks my age, like being on AOL or a multi-line BBS’s public chat rooms at the same hour. I’m tempted to squelch the General chat forums in the more popular cities to keep from ruining my gameplay experience… but my people-watching skills extend to online, and I can’t seem to ignore the sheer depravity, poor grammar and immaturity evidenced therein. :)

I’ve stopped reading the news for at least my weekends. The world will continue to spin whether or not I’m up on the latest news and events, methinks.
