… this will have to do:

This Labor Day weekend I was blessed with four days off from work. About a week ago, the weather forecasters were calling for “Mostly Sunny” skies so I had two flights booked a cross-country to Brenham and a second to Llano.

As you know, Mother Nature had other plans. I welcomed the rain and I could hear our thirsty St. Augustine grass whispering, “Thank you!”

Yesterday, after canceling the morning flight to Llano due to weather, Shan and I went to the zoo and joined more than a million people that had decided to do the same thing. After finding that humans outnumbered zoo animals by four to one, we fled the zoo and noticed that there was some clearing in the sky.

Let’s go fly!

And fly we did! A quick hop to take some photos and check out a new 2003 Skyhawk SP available for rent at Wright Flyers. The air was a little bumpy but the skies were noticeably absent of airplanes. The controllers were relaxed and the frequencies were dead.

Shannon captured some cool shots as we viewed hundreds of people enjoying their Labor Day weekend at Canyon Lake:

Here are the photos!

God bless and take care. Hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend!
