Sinus Infection
I have all the hallmarks of a sinus infection. Fever (99.4 °F), intense sinus pressure and pain, drainage, a sore throat, sinus headache and overall “ick” feeling. I played World of Warcraft all … day (definitely a sign of something physically wrong with a person! ;)) I’m now tucked in bed with my laptop and my “guard cat”, Blanco, who tucked himself in by my left hip — he always seems to know when Justin or I need extra TLC.
I haven’t left the house the entire day; I haven’t talked to anyone except Justin. And I feel just bad enough that neither of those things bother me in the least…
I took a dose of Nyquil (vile stuff, that) about a half hour ago. I can’t say I feel any better, but at least I’m temporarily not wheezing and coughing up phlegm. {Aside: ever notice that the word phlegm definitely looks and sounds as nasty as what it’s describing?}

Thanks, Mom. I’ll live… I even have a “house husband” around this week thanks to the holidays!
He brought home breakfast tacos and OTC meds before joining me in our day-long WoW gaming fest.
And, thanks to your coffee/tea/latte miracle, I have on-demand Earl Gray to soothe my throat… at least until I run out, that is! (I’m placing an order on Amazon right now, before I forget!)
