Justin’s a long-time fan and couple year’s-long subscriber ($14.95/year) to GameWallpapers.com, a website featuring many custom desktop wallpapers based on various PC and console games. I’m used to seeing scantily-clad “cyberbabes” on his computer here at home, and I’ve even put a few on my desktop — much of the artwork is phenomenal! Not surprisingly, there’s an entire “CyberBabes” section on GameWallpapers, and I’ve occasionally threatened Justin that I was going to start a write-in campaign demanding a “CyberStuds” section for us geek gals (and, in fairness, gay geek guys)!

I finally made good on my “threat”:

I received an amused and well-reasoned reply from Nico (GameWallaper’s webmaster and primary artist), and it appears those of us who want more “cyberstuds” (and “cyberhunks”) on GameWallpapers.com need to stand up and be counted! With only 1.6% of those surveyed on GameWallapers.com indicating they’re female, and no stats available on the gay guy segment of the GameWallpapers market, it’s time for action:

Write to Nico, the GameWallpapers.com webmaster/owner, and assert your right to CyberHUNKS!

… what can I say, I’m all about grass-roots initiatives and community involvement. I’m just looking out for the interests of cyberstud-loving gals and guys everywhere! Really!

By the way, Nico had the following to say about my dual monitor wallpaper comment –

“As for the dual-screen wallpapers. They are definitely on my 2do list. In the mean time you might use ultramon to set up 2 wallpapers, one on each screen. That’s what I do on my dual monitor setup. I have a crt and tft screen to compare the quality of the wallpapers. Tft shows the jpeg compression / sharpness and the crt has better colors

I’ve got UltraMon, but I’ve been so hung up on the dual monitor, ultra-wide wallpapers, I hadn’t bothered to use it to set two different wallpapers. Nifty!
