Insurance Discounts for Hybrid Owners
On February 21, 2006, Travelers insurance announced that it is offering a 10% discount on auto insurance to hybrid owners. The discount is currently available in 27 states, and according to their terrific HybridTravelers.com website: “[...] March 25th [...] the hybrid discount will be available in additional states. It will be available in most states by Summer 2006.” It is not yet available in Texas or California, among others.
It looks like Travelers is seizing upon a terrific opportunity to gain some market share by targeting the hybrid-owning market, and they’re doing it in a fun way (check out their Early Adopt-o-Meter, which I not surprisingly am off-the-charts on in all categories.)
