The American Family Association (AFA) is calling for a one-year boycott of Ford Motor Company because Ford advertises some of its vehicles in “gay publications” and supports gay rights groups. (CNN).

So, to “uphold the American family” we should only buy foreign cars and trucks? Uh, I think it’s safe to say homosexuals aren’t the majority in either the United Auto Workers’ Union or among Ford’s ranks. A Ford boycott may “hurt” a few homosexuals, but it’ll primarily hurt the blue collar American families depending on their factory or assembly plant income to survive, raise their children, and pay their taxes.

(True, there’s still General Motors and Chrysler, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before those companies are too supportive of a segment of the workforce and consumer public, and need to be banned as well — like Disney and Microsoft.)

Gay marriage isn’t leading to a breakdown in American families. The modern American family, statistically-speaking, already has that covered with infidelity, child abuse and divorce.
