DING! DING! DING!

(That’s the sound of bells for successfully reaching the halfway point in this pregnancy… yes, friends, pregnancy lasts TEN months, not NINE… just one of the evil tricks the medical community plays on us!)

I’m feeling good, and baby is doing good as well. We have another look at her at 28 weeks for another ultrasound to make sure my placenta has moved out of its “low-lying” position, where it was found to be at my 17 week 4 day ultrasound. Compared to the accompanying graphic, my placenta is currently low-lying, near my cervix, and positioned in the front.

At this early stage, it’s fairly routine for this to be found, and my obstetrician is fairly positive it will move into a better position by 28 weeks. If not, we’ll deal with that when the time comes (it “just” means a C-section birth is likely… not like I don’t have a collection of scars, surgical and otherwise, already!)
