I Lied!
I lied. We did not get around to taking any “belly shots” (sounds for all the world like something one would order in a bar), aka pregnancy photos, this weekend. Instead, we …
- bought and installed new lights for our front porch with the help of Justin’s parents.
- picked out a pair of comfortable slip-on shoes for me (a $109 pair of SAS shoes, absolutely free, thanks to the gift certificate I won at this year’s annual SAS Siesta Valley Ranch Walk in October!
- made some progress starting our Christmas decorating
- exercised (Justin moreso than me, but I did get my ever-expanding butt back on the bicycle to put in about 5 miles… good ride, but it definitely is starting to feel weird, this body I find myself in!
- saw the movie “Happy Feet” with Justin’s parents; our niece and nephew were supposed to come along but had a prior engagement. (Actually, I am cheating; this was last week but I figured I’d throw it in for good measure!)
Notice we are conveniently avoiding all the major work, like: primer painting the nursery (requires us emptying/cleaning the room that will become the nursery, first!); repainting our master bedroom; finding new homes for the cats’ litter boxes and, if we’re lucky, tiling the upstairs guest bathroom before Sprout arrives (yeah, it’s carpeted… !@(*)$#@!); actually selecting and buying furniture, eg. a bureau, crib and ceiling fan; etc.
But, hey, you gotta celebrate every victory no matter how small!
