ETA (Edited To Add):

Statement as of 12:20 PM CST on January 13, 2007… Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday evening through
Monday morning…The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
Winter Storm Watch… which is in effect from Sunday evening
through Monday morning.

Expect freezing rain and possibly snow Sunday night into
Monday…
with a continued chance of freezing or frozen
precipitation through Wednesday. Most of the precipitation will
fall as freezing rain… but a few showers of sleet are possible.
Some of the rain could change over to snow as early as Monday.

Most of the ice accumulation will be from freezing rain… with
accumulations of one-quarter to one-half inch possible.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow… sleet… or ice accumulations
that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.

Better than *cats & dogs” . . . .knowing me, I’d try to adopt all of them! LOL!! We’re off to get necessary errands run before our sport cars try to behave like hockey pucks on slick roads!

It gets better — here’s the latest forecast for Monday (MLK Day):

    Martin Luther King Jr Day
Rain and light sleet in the morning…then rain…light sleet and light freezing rain in the afternoon. Breezy. Ice accumulation of less than one quarter of an inch. Colder. Highs in the upper 30s. Near steady temperature in the mid 30s. North winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation 100 percent.

Perfect day for a parade, no? (sarcasm)
