No More Purple!
So far, I’ve got one coat of primer paint on both the purple walls in Sprout’s nursery, and it already looks a lot better and brighter. (Yes, Justin offered to help… as did Mom, who has no business being on a ladder or overworking her wrists more than her miniature and crafting habits allow!)
I’m a sloppy painter, so I’ll have to clean up the corners and window frame on my second pass, and it looks like I’ve committed to painting the ceiling, too! (Kind of planned on it… the ceiling has the smallest surface area, anyway, so how bad can it be? ;))
The final, flat wall paint coat will be not quite so in-your-face white as the primer, but not quite as dark as the existing (non-purple) walls.
After all that’s done, maybe there’s still time (and ideas) for Thomas to do his mural magic on the walls. We’re thinking Texas critters, bicycling and outdoor recreation, aviation and space exploration (near the ceiling). That’s a hodge-podge of stuff, but it reflects some of the various passions Justin and I have and look forward to sharing with Sprout. We’ll also have a couple of our fine art prints in her room, as well… since we don’t have enough of our own artwork on the walls anywhere in the house!
