Tweetless

Dunno why Twitter Tools still hates me. So no magical tweets inserted into my blogs. Which means no blog updates.

Well, here’s one, even though it’s just a Twitter tweet I just sent:

Oops! Google mapping Prius gets busted by fuzz. Speeding? Impersonating Eiffle Tower? -> http://tinyurl.com/552rdo

You’re in the Right Place

Don’t leave. You are in the right place. This is still GeekHabitat. I had to revert to one of the standard template sets for WordPress because something as-yet unknown in my customized template was keeping Twitter Tools from working.

Twitter Tools is now working, sort of {edit: it’s broken again…) It showed a few tweets I posted yesterday as having originated today, but anyway, I’m on the right track so I’ll leave this template set up until I can fiddle some more.

Patience, grasshopper! :)

Articles on Saving Money in ANY Vehicle Going Mainstream

If there’s one very good thing to be said for rising gas prices, it’s that the Average Joe & Jane USA is starting to at least think about fuel economy and driving habits a little bit, finally.

Some resources I’ve seen shared on Twitter.com (social networking/mobile blogging site) in recent days:

1. “Easiest way to cut your gas bill by as much as 50% is through “Relaxed Driving“: Use that tachometer!”

2. “Easy Ways to Save Money on Gas” by LifeHacker.com

3.”How to Save on Gas

And from EcoModder.com:

Behind on So Many Things

I am not complaining, since the reason I am behind is a beautiful, energetic, healthy almost 15-month-old (she’ll be 15 months on June 15th.) This is yet another placeholder post since I don’t have the time or energy to formulate a proper entry –

Sara’s 15-month pediatrician appointment was last Thursday, and it went well as usual. She’s still tracking as she always has, which is to say perfectly well, at 90% for height and roughly 15% for weight. Long and lean. I’ll have to dig up the previous stats for comparison over time, but here’s her latest stats:
* Height: 31.5 in.
* Weight: 21 lb. 6 oz.
* Head Circumference: 18 in.

Bragging on Justin for a Change (vs. Sara)

From Justin:

—-
Took the plunge and traded a 1/2-ton pickup truck for a 30lb mountain bike for the commute to work this morning.

It was quite the experience, here’s my blog post:
Bike Geek: A carbon-free day…

When it was all said and done, with 26 miles or so of riding, I saved two gallons of gas and burned 1500 calories instead.

Not bad!
—-

Just had to brag on him. Like everything that involves other people, he has to be a very attentive rider.

Stream of Consciousness

I wrote an entry on Monday, but with too many browser windows open I managed to nuke it before it could be saved to drafts. It’s 1:30 AM and I am exhausted, but not enough to preclude me from posting a quick stream of consciousness recap:
