Radar image of Hurricane Ike’s eyewall as it made landfall on Galveston early this morning:

Ike apparently doesn’t like…Texas…literally showing his “face” as he nears landfall.

This radar view is moments before Ike’s eyewall reached land (so, earlier than the preceding radar image) and, equally eerie, it too has the appearance of a face inside the eye. I’m sure conspiracy theorists love this kinda shit. I just thought it was eerie.

Sense a trend here? I still haven’t gone back and fleshed out the entry for Sara turning 17 months old, and now her 18 month b-day will be within a week! Ah well, water under the bridge.
