* Sigh. The tire we had patched last saturday (and left a camping trip early TO patch)? It’s FLAT.

I’ve found that as my time gets stretched in more directions, it’s far easier to post short (maximum 140 characters) “tweets” on Twitter.com and avoid blogging altogether. I’m not saying it’s a good thing, but it is what it is. I’m making some great contacts, not just professionally but other moms and fellow geek gals or outdoors enthusiasts, folks trying to lose weight, etc. Twitter was even fun on our camping trip, even when Sara and Justin had to leave I had folks tweeting to me that they had enjoyed the camping pics thus far, or that we looked like we were having a terrific time (we were, up until 3 AM!)
It’s insights like these that make me love Flickr:
From user shellen
“Realized I’ve fallen into an old bad habit, letting my inbox become my to-do list. Having a to-do list that anyone can add items to sucks!”
Like everyone who joins Twitter, I’m trying to optimize my usage of it and find the best way to mesh it into my life in a fun and productive manner. Sarah Dopp’s post, “More Twitter Tips,” had a terrific tip I’ve been needing.
Since I have unlimited Internet on my Blackberry, but a limited (~200/month) SMS messages, and I use at least 60 of those sending SMS to my non-Blackberry parents. Thankfully, both Justin and my brother are fellow BlackBerry users so I don’t rack up additional SMS talking to them.

I’ll have to buy this, provided it’s not $50 or something (which, from the complexity and planning required for pop-up books, just might be the going rate; it’s not on Amazon yet.)
